Empty rooms: We will convince employees not to leave the lighting on before leaving the office.
Premises that are not used: We will not include lighting in empty and enclosed spaces.
Shutdown: In 15 minutes, the fluorescent lamp consumes more than 500 times more energy than it needs to be turned on again – turn it off if there is no need for it.
Brightness: we will reduce lighting in places like corridors.
Light blocking: people often prefer to work in natural light. We will make sure that windows and other sources of natural light are cleaned at least once a year.
Outdoor lighting: in the dark we will only use external lighting. In doing so, we may need it for not all night time. We will put timers with photocells to cut costs and install motion sensors for lighting.
Bulbs: Some bulbs are much more efficient than others, we will make a reasonable choice of light bulbs and reduce our energy needs.
Computers: We’ll turn off our computers at night and on weekends. When they are not used, for example, at lunchtime, we turn off the computer monitors.
Copier: At night, we turn off our photocopier, like our computers. To prevent our air conditioning system from working to compensate for the heat from the machine, we will place our photocopier in a well-ventilated place.
